Frequently Asked Questions – Buyer

We have lots of things up for auction each week, we post pictures on a regular basis on our website and Facebook page, but we always recommend the buyer come to see the products and ask questions before they buy. We have so many things each week, more than what is posted online!  Our auctions start promptly at 7PM, but you can come as early as 5PM to look at the merchandise, ask questions, and get a GREAT seat!

When you come to Magnolia Gardens Auction House, you will be asked to sign a “buyers agreement” that explains all the rules to the auction. You will receive a “paddle” with a number on it. When you are interested in bidding on an item, raise your paddle! If someone bids higher than you, you have the opportunity to bid again for the item. It’s very fast paced, so you have to bid quick so you don’t see the item you want pass you by!

All items are sold as is, where as, without warranty or guarantee.

Yes, after the auction, you will be asked to pay for your item, and then you will receive a ticket to pick up your item either from the storage room or the front of the building (depending on the size of your item.)

We accept bids via phone, email, or Facebook message. You can call or email to leave your credit card information.  You will be notified if you win the item after the auction is over.

Absolutely not. At Magnolia Gardens Auction House, we pride ourselves in keeping everything fair and legitimate. Consignors are not allowed to bid on their own items.

Items are not sold after the auctioneer passes them, it is not fair to the consignor.  Our job is to get the best price possible with the most exposure.

We usually try two times if we see that the piece justifies that.  It’s up to the discretion of the auctioneer, not always, but sometimes.

Your bid is a legal, verbal, binding contract.  Be aware of what you are bidding on and pay close attention to what is up for auction.

Yes! Call the auction house phone before the auction.  Seats are released at 7PM if you do not fill them.
